I think i probably have either a bad fuel pump or need a new distributor. The past month or so every time it rains the next day my car wont start. However if it warms up it will start pretty much all the time. occasionally it would start in the rain, and if i got it running that day it would pretty much be good for running errands and sitting for a few hours here and there. I was thinking it would be a distributor however this morning, without any precip within about 24 hrs, it wont start. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it will probably start when it warms up a little. when it doesn't start the engine turns over but doesn't fire. their is not any "sputtering" or any kind of odd engine rpms or lagging while I drive it normally. It just either wont start or will run great. It is a 2002 xterra.

WHat does it do when you try to start it and it does not start? Does it crank over?
