I have a 2004 XTERRA SE S/C with the OEM Rockford Fosgate Six CD changer. Does anybody have the proper way to remove this stereo out of the dash?

Put your shifter in N, pull your T-case shifter down. Pull up on the surroundin plasic piece and over the shifter.

There are 2 phillips head screws that are now exposed, pull those

Look RIGHT above the head unit (HU). there are 2 more phillips head screws there too. Now you can pull your fascia piece off. But only about 3". To get it all the way off, you have to disconnect your cigarette lighter plug and your hazard plug too.

Now there should be 4 screws mounting the brackets to the HU. Pull those.

With your palm under the HU, pull it out some. You have to disconnect some plugs and your antenna (black male plug)

Done!
