: New Xterra Owner

After 5 years with my trusty Cherokee, I decided I wanted something a little more civilized. The 3" Skyjacker lift, 31x10.50 tires and the Flowmaster were the perfect combination to keeping my fiance' out of the driver's seat. Unfortunately there are days where she needs something a little more practical than a G35 Coupe.
My fiance' and her family are die hard Nissan people. I really wasn't considering replacing my Jeep, but after driving her Dad's Frontier I was interested in looking at an Xterra.
I responded to an ad on Craigslist for an 01 4WD XE Auto with 114k for $5,200. The driver's side fender needs paint, but after checking KBB and the other FSBO ads, I realized this was a deal that I needed to move on.
Sorry to disappoint but, I don't plan on making any serious modifications. I am considering the NISMO stainless exhaust, but I want to make sure that it doesn't increase interior noise too significantly. I'd also like a locker in the rear, but as-is the X gets around the farm and the trail to my buddy's cabin without any problems, so it will wait.
Thanks to everyone whose posts have helped me already, and I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions later.

Welcome to the club!

Did you check the timing belt out? They are to be replaced around the 105K mark.

Either way, sounds like a good deal. Congratulations!

Drake,
The previous owner replaced the T-belt, H2O pump and all of of the A/C lines at 100k. They didn't mention it before I bought the X, but there were receipts in the glovebox where they had all of the work done. I'm not sure when the plugs were replaced, but that will not waste an entire Saturday like a T-belt.

Right on. Then you're good to go for a while.
