I had a full set of Shrockworks skid plates on my 08 Xterra. I recently bought an ARB front bumper from 4wheelparts. I really like the bumper, both for functionality and looks, and I really like that it was designed to work with the airbag sensors correctly which I didn't see on other bumpers.
However, when they installed the bumper, they had to remove the Shrockworks front radiator plate since it was in the way of the new ARB and shared some mount holes. But, the only complaint I have with the ARB is it doesn't fully protect the bottom of the radiator like the Shrockworks plate did. I want to put the plate back on.
Has anyone used both together before? Any complications? It looks like I'd have to remove the lower shield that came with the bumper, that that's ok with me if I get the Shrockworks plate back on. Just wondering if anyone has experience or thoughts. Thanks!

Yeah, the Shrockworks plate covers better.
BYW - ALL of the aftermarket bumpers work with your air bags/sensors....because NO aftermarket bumpers have ANYTHING to do with them.
Its like advertising "Farm Grown Potatoes", as opposed to just "Potatoes".
They are ALL grown on a farm, but one guy mentioned it.
:D
So remove the ARB stuff in the way, and mount the better plate.

I'm actually in the market now for a bumper. I have pretty much decided on the Shrockworks bumper that comes WITH the plate. Out of curiosity, any reason your not using THEIR bumber with the plate?

Did you get it mounted yet? Just wondering if there were any problems. I want to order the shrock skidplate and I have the ARB already too.

Not to hijack the thread but due to a recent deer attack, I'm considering buying a shrockworks or hefty fabworks front bumper. However, will I have to upgrade my suspension to do this? Currently driving a 2011 PRO-4X which has the stock Bilsteins.
