hey all. since we got the 04 x every time I try to top off the gas tank I get the chk eng. Read code says it's a fuel sensor. dealer said chk the cap>{
only does it when I put gas in. Not over filling. Anyone have this ? where would the fuel tank sensor be ? Thanks

I am having the same prob. When i fill up the needle won't go past 3/4. Then after a few minutes the needle bottoms all the way out. It is at the dealership right now, they are replaceing the float/sensor in the tank.

Well, Bofaking has a bad sending unit, whereas ybyellow may have a bad fuel temp sensor, fuel sending unit, or even a gauge issue (anti-slosh circuit) going bad.

What's the year, model, etc. of your X there ybyellow? And where are you at in Colorado?

Heck, I'll be in CoSprings Saturday night for our Ronin Meet and Greet. What are you doing around 5'ish Sat night?
I can bring my code reader and get the exact code and try to narrow it down for you.

Dude, I am local too! What are you doing tomorrow night? I will tell you, working on your X in the parking lot, that's what!

Come and meet your local Nissan Wheelers at 5.

I'm assuming all of you with the fuel issues have had the R0401 Fuel Sending Unit recall performed on your vehicles? I mean, it sounds like a stupid question but it's a free repair if it hasn't been performed yet.

Call your local dealers with your VIN and have them run it on Service-Comm to check for open recalls.
