i was curious about wiring after market fogs to my running lights simply for an easy way to have them on without the headlights being on. i know that its nearly impossible to wire your fogs and use the same turnsignal switch that comes from the factory while not having to turn your headlights on. the reason i ask about the cornering lights or turnsignal light, whatever, is that i would be about to use the parking light(whatever, lol) switch that is also on the turnsignal without having to run another switch into the cab or dash. I am thinking that the fogs(if wired) will blink when you signal even they dont have 2 filaments in the bulb like the turn signals.

theres a slightly easier way. Find the fog light relay and remove pin2 its color r/b in the fsm(this comes from the control box). Then find a wire that is on when the truck is on (for safety of leaving them on). Tap that and run the line to pin 2 on the fuse relay and they will work when the x is on and you flip the switch.

disclaimer, i have not done this on the x myself but i did the same thing for 6th gen civics and it worked great.

There is another option on the frontier forum, search alternative fog light mod, took me about 1/2 hour and I have total control while still utilizing the factory stalk switch.

Thats what I did

I wired my hellas using a relay with the switch being the factory wiring harness for the fogs so I could use the factory stalk to control the hellas. Then i wired the fog stalk to work entirely independent of everything else. The fogs can be on and nothing else has to be on. here is one how to http://xterrafirma.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=929

note that if your 03-04 the 2 connectors your using is the 2 wire connector and 6wire connector. There is no 8 wire connector on these years.
