I just have the basic, factory stereo system right now, but I want one with built-in GPS, CD, maybe even DVD. I want one that fits perfectly into the allotted space. What's the best aftermarket system for this vehicle? Thanks.

Anything that fits in a double din Stereo will do fine. I definitely do NOT recommend A Clarion DVD as I had one in my X. Now it is in my MR2

as previously posted any ddin ( double din) radio will fit in the space..... so just look for that type of radio and you will be alright.....

I switched everything out in my xterra with alpine. I have the cd player and 4 door speakers and the new sub they have that has 6 6 1/2 inch drivers in it with a built in amp. Hits pretty good and doesnt take up that much space.

I would say the pioneer d3 is your best bet. Unless you wanna spend a pretty pennie and buy the newer model with the built in hard drive, you will have to load nav cds everytime you want to map a new destination.
