Nissan's sales have been solid over the past year, managing a 16.9 percent increase in 2010, a somewhat surprising feat considering the age of many of its products. The vast majority of volume sellers in Nissan's lineup have been on the market for almost their entire product cycle and are in danger of becoming stale.

Before that happens, Nissan has big plans to revamp its showroom collection and will introduce eight new models in the next 24 months. More importantly, those eight models represent 85 percent of Nissan's total sales.

The plan was revealed to AutoGuide by Ian Forsyth, Director of Corporate and Product Planning at Nissan Canada. No further comment was made on the new product push and so it's not clear if those numbers are Canadian specific or for all of North America. While in comparison to the U.S., compact cars like the Sentra do represent a larger portion of sales in the Canadian market than, say the full-size Maxmia, that 85 percent number shouldn't change much on either side of the border.

Dang, it's definitely alluring! And hybrid to boot! I read Nissan's history today and they are a pretty impressive company as a whole. I'm really interested to see what they have to offer in the next two years.

Watched a video on it, it's only a concept and it IS actually going to be what the Altima looks like. They are even talking supercharged...

Hmmm I think the Titan could use a minor remodel but nothing extreme...the Frontier is doing prety well however, I like where it's at right now. Hopefully they won't change it too much :eek: Same goes for the Xterra's! I love the 2nd gens and I hope they barely touch anything up (if they do).

They're starting to scare me with their headlights on their cars...and the new Nissan Quest reminds me of a whale so hopefully they won't ruin a good thing they have goin right now in their X's and Fronty's.

The Titan will have a redesign in 2013.. Id say the Frontier will as well.. Based on the same F platform.. As well as the Xterra... That what keeps the Xterra going... They can get 3 or more cars off the same platform..

Thank God. I can't tell a difference between the old Titan's and the new ones!

I have to replace the front wishield on the X and its $229 installed. Wonder how much that big huge arched window for the Elure is going to be? Has to be very very expensive.
