That's not bad at all. Good job.

Zip ties huh... what... you too good for duct tape? :mocking:

well duct tape tends to come loose when you get around water and other elements of the earth..... i remounted it but it is still held by zip ties ( about 5-6 NOW ) LOL and i painted the PVC a flat black, the paint didn't stick to well so i will proab do another coat or two at a later date..... also i lined the hole i cut out with some plastic flexible tubing.... i will post some pics tomorrow when i get a chance to take them....... also i have to seal the air box with some silicone around the PVC pipe, and get a test plug for the small opening...... i like it and cant wait to get to try it out... LOL

Take sandpaper or a brillo pad and scuff that first coat of paint you put on. Wipe it off with a wet cloth and then add another coat. It should help the paint adhere better.

But looks good. I would've kept it unpainted... that's "hood rich" :hilarious:

Looks good man! I'll be honest and say when I first heard about a pvc snorkel, I was a bit skeptical on how it would look but that's not bad at all. I like the "bumper" you made around the fender hole. What is that? Plastic conduit tubing?

Good job!:clever:

no wipers? haha, the conduit actually loks good for a finished edge...is the top of the snorkel like the ones in the kits? looks good man

i still have to put them on... LOL and the end of it points back to the rear of the pathy...... the paint didn't look as good as i had planed but another coat and it will look better..... i will have to take the bag off so you can see how i have it.....

Json, pull that conduit off and throw some epoxy paint around those edges for rustproofing.

You can get really tough trim for those edges that would seal it really well.

Looks like you could use a 77 degree street elbow and a 45 degree fascia cut so there is no more plastic bag, although it is a classy touch;)

well regardless of what i put on it there will be a bag added so i dont have to worry about anything making a home in my intake...... i will look for the epoxy coating.....

and the thing around the trim is flex wire tubing

.....and the thing around the trim is flex wire tubing

Oh so you used a shop-vac vacuum hose? :mocking:

I know what you are talking about now. Definitely more durable than the conduit I was thinking of.

no its the flex tubing for wire.... i bought it so i could put it on my headlight wires so they arnt exposed.... it 6' for like $3.....
