Hi i just hit 50k on my engine(`01) and i was wondering is it still a good time to go synthetic. I`ve always use castrol oil(no complains here)but upon reading some of your post i`m wondering if synthetic is the way to go.....BTW i only do city driving ( no where to go off road)eeeefing city....ohhh, also do i just change to full syntetic or do i go with synthetic blend first.....any info will be greatly appreciated..

ya mobil 1 works well
most run M1, i run royal purple, didnt really notice a diff btw the 2
switching to full syn is a good idea
the transition has no adverse effects on the engine

oh,,,i forgot and what type 5w-30 or 10w-40?

I would go with 5w-30 because that is probably the range you should be looking for living in Crooklyn
