I've been a proud owner of a 2007 Xterra for about 18,000 miles now. It's a fantastic ride! I've managed one serious off-road trip so far. I'm talking about really off-road where you twist the frame and get on three wheels. You see, it's my wife's daily driver so I dont get to play in it too much.
I'm a true off roader having owned six different 4X4s. Don't hold it against me but I also own a 2003 Jeep TJ. It serves me well and is a whole lot easier to explain to the wife when I come home all muddy. She takes a dim view of me getting her Xterra all muddied up.
I traded in a 2003 Landrover for the Xterra. That LR would really go but was a total pain to keep running and the repair bills were out of this world.
