Why the hell would I be seeing advertisements if I'm a lifetime member? WHY?

I'm not a lifetime member, so I don't know. My guess would be the site sponsor stuff still shows, but it looks like the ads on the side are supposed to "disappear"

Which browser too? Firefox is a pain in my butt for web devel because the stupid thing tends to pull from it's cache even if the remote site has changed (Opera, Chrome, Safari work fine in this regard). Try clearing your cache and see if that helps

Not sure if that'll do what you want.. cuz I honestly have no idea lol. I've been using firefox + adblocker for a few years now so I haven't seen adds in a while lol

i just did the same thing and i still see plenty of ads....i guess disabling IntelliTxt only does something when you pay :)

even adblocker doesn't make the ads go away for me...meh, doesn't bother me

baf6: you could always watch to see what hostnames it's calling, and put those in your HOSTS file and have them point at 127.0.0.1 :-)

Really? I'm using AdBlock Plus on Firefox and I haven't seen the ads on here ever.

Not sure which ads you might be referring to but there are some ads that cannot be done away with (they have to pay the bills somehow). What the membership eliminates (or should) is any pop-up ads and any banner ads that will show up in between posts in a thread.

^^^^^
no bro on some computers there are no ads, but my home computer acts as if nothing changed.

Then it sounds to me like it is a home computer issue and not a site issue.

I bet one of the computers has an ad block or tool bar that's blocking them and that's the difference. It had to be.

I just realized I forgot I had Ad Block installed on Chrome which is why I wasn't seeing any at all (only on the Dev build.. saw them on the Canary build because I never installed Ad Block into that one)
