ok im gong to midas to get my brakes checked out! and i was looking to get my exhuast resonators taken out!! what will it sond like and is it good to do to the x?? i need to know fast so anyone please tell me your opinion. will it sound ricey or annoying, or sick as hell??? i already have a flowmaster 40 on it.

Sorry I can't give you an answer but I certainly won't ever be taking any vehicle of mine to a Midas.

why is that

I have the Super 40 in my 05. We took out the muffler back and installed the Super 40 and new tail section.

What do you mean "Them"? There should be only one. ( which is right by the tail pipe. Looks like someone stuffed a small roll of paper towels in the tail pipe ) I left everything from muffler forward stock.

Eventually I want to replace that restrictive Y pipe that nissan put in before the Muffler.

But that will be something down the road.

After the install at a local shop the guy started it up to pull it out of the garage and gave it a good rev. ( Smile ear to ear )

Then again that is why it was a total of $80 installed. $40 for the 40 and 40 for the install.

If you are going to yank those then you are better off doing a full cat back install.No point in just replacing those with straight pipe and leaving the Y.
Plus you could go a little larger in pipe than the stock stuff.

i dont want to spend 400 dollars on a cat back when i can get ther same to close results with taking them out. i dont have the money to get a full exhaust makeover. i dont want to go with a larger pipe. i want a little backpreasure but not much.

so i called this place called pro muffler and they wanted 60 for the job. and i had baseball that day untill 330 so i went to midas and they did my brakes and gave me an estamate for it. they said it would cost me 148 to get it done. i laughed and walked out. the upcomming monday im going to pro muffler to get it done. i will let you know! :)
