Hello all,

I'm glad to be a part of the online community! :excellent: I'm looking to put new tires on my '05 Xterra SE & would like your input.

I still have the OE tires - BF Goodrich Radial Long Trail T/A - P265 / 65 R17, 110T M+S. I've only got 25,500 miles & the tread is getting close to the wear bars. I do all my regular tire rotations & usually check the air pressure monthly. I do take it off-road sometimes. I realize I drive a little harder than the average soccer mom on the road, but only 25K is ridiculous!:usuck:

I was looking at tire-rack online for options & these were the tires they had listed by customer satisfacion/rating, top-rated coming first.
(1) The Goodyears & Michelins are over $150/tire, are they worth it?
(2) How many have re-purchased the OE tires?
(3)What are your thoughts, opinions, or suggestions, or experiences with the rest?

I know people with the Duelers and love them

As for myself I am running BFG A/T KOs - Most of my driving is On-Road (Sorry X) and they run great. I don't hear or feel road Hum at all and they have been wearing very well ( 20,000 miles ). I also think they perform Awesome on the trail and in the Snow.

The down side is they are pricey

I'll vouch for Goodyear tires as well, but the Forterra Triple treads. Have them on my wife's 06 X SE. Very good so far in the snow, slop, rain and dry roads. Had them on for 10000km so far and still look brand new. Bought them when Goodyear had their buy 4 for the price of 3. Paid around $900 canadian for them and they come with, I think, a 80000km warranty.
