As title says, I'm just curious what level of interest we have in the Western WA area for a meet & greet in Fife or ??

Lets see how many of us are willing to get together, and lets see if we can get a common geographical place then we can start hashing out a time so throw your ideas out there.

:)
would have to bring the truck over on the ferry and then head out.

Will keep watching this thread.

I'll say possibly interested. I just moved to Sequim/Port Angeles area a month ago from Michigan. I work all day every weekday so it would have to be a weekend.

I'm pretty busy until May but if I don't have a conflict I'll be there.
Saturdays are best for me.

I'd be a little more interested if it was further north...Fife is too far to go on my budget on such short notice. Maybe if I did more than just check the active topics, I would have been more in the loop on this.

I'd like to meet other Xterra owners, since no one else I know has one, so maybe there could be another meet & greet later on this year more towards Seattle or Lynnwood. Unless someone wants to spot me gas money to get to Fife and back ;)

There's really not much in the way of wheeling around those parts.
You can head out towards carbonado and see whats open. Evans creek ORV area is out there and while there's a little to do for stock vehicles, most of it is very tight and better suited to heavily modded rigs and those that don't mind using a rock to pivot on.
There are a few good FS roads to poke around but not much in the way of 4x4 stuff.

There's a few roads off I-90 heading up to the pass but might still be early in the season for them to be open.
Head out on 410 towards crystal mountain and there's some roads just past Greenwater that can be interesting. Suntop is one of my fav picnic spots once they open the road to the top. It has a retired (?) fire lookout, some picnic tables and one of the best views of Mt Rainier you can find. Need a forest service pass to park.

As far as I know everything off hwy 18 is now gated.

Capitol state forest outside Olympia used to have a couple nice 4x4 trails but I think most of those have been closed. The last time I saw them they had been rutted out by guys with 40+ inch tires and the one spot we were thinking of camping had so many hypodermic needles laying on the ground we gave up on the whole area!

If you don't mind some driving the moses lake dunes are pretty fun, need a flag there though.

depending on what everyone wants to do, you might, if its JUST a meet and greet than probably not, if theres some offroading than it depends on where we go.... anybody have any more ideas?
