Here is a thread on how to post pics here on clubX:

First you need to make a account on www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com)

second you upload your pics to your account
http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h255/jsongrl/jason/upload.jpg

http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h255/jsongrl/jason/upload2.jpg

third you click on img code and a bubble will come up saying copied
http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h255/jsongrl/jason/imgcode.jpg

http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h255/jsongrl/jason/pastehere.jpg

hope it helps yall......

Additionally, if there is a random picture on the internet, you can right click and then click "view" . Copy the URL. Next. go back to photobucket in the upload photos section, and click web url as shown in the picture below. Paste the URL and then hit upload. To post to the forums, you just have to select the IMG code as mentioned before.

Good God, 4 per post?

That's good because I plan on making a write-up on the stereo install on the '02 X I just bought. Stuff is in the mail now. Should be getting it tomorrow or Wednesday.

That's great that you guys upped the limit. We all know how I like to pimp my girl on the forums!:helmetandring-big:

It sucks when you have a ton of pics to show and can't. I always just ended up posting the link to the photobucket album.

here is another sweet option for hosting files, sharing files, web space, etc. And its free. I love it.

https://www.getdropbox.com/referrals/NTIwMjc5NDk

If you want to you can also install the software on your computer and you can just click and drag files into your 'dropbox' and they automatically upload to the hosted server. Makes things really fast. And if you make directories under the photo's directory with images in it, it automatically hosts an album view, like my craigslist crap here:

http://www.getdropbox.com/gallery/202794/1/CL?h=ede682

I share big files this way too, or zip's, just send my buddy the link and they can DL. You can also share folders across accounts. Can be good for business that have files they share among many employees, we use it here for basic things like spreadsheets and stuff. Just hit up that link, they also have a demo/tour that is really helpful

enjoy

How do I post a video?

json3904
09-06-2009, 11:05 PM
only some parts of the forums are setup for embedding vids... but to do it all you do is click on the embed link from either youtube or photobucket or where ever you uploaded the vid to and then you come to the thread you want to post it in and right click and hit paste and if you are in one of the forums that are set up for vid's then it will show the vid in the thread...

off the top of my head i cant remember which ones are setup that way i will look into it and let you know...

Thank you for the help with the pictures. I got a photobucket account but for some reason I am still having trouble getting my photos to show up. When I go to my profile page I can see the photo I put up but when i send a message out the picture does not show. I'll keep working on it.

another attempt

How do I make my pictures bigger like everyone elses?
I used photobucket to get my pictures on here but it does not seem
to let me make it any bigger than it is.

When you hover over your Photobucket image, it will create a drop down menu with options for email & IM, Direct link, HTML code, and IMG code. Copy the IMG code and paste it into your post and you'll be golden.

Are you saying the sizing will be automatic?

Yes. :)

Yeahhhhhh, mine does not do that and I have had some others try to help
me and they can't make them bigger either. I can post the [img] code but it only comes out like the small ones in my build thread. Oh well, thanks for helping me out anyways.

J Everett

That's really weird. I'm assuming they aren't that small when you upload them to Photobucket, so they should be the same size when you post the IMG code. Very strange. Perhaps an email to Photobucket's tech support can get you sorted out.

Yes they are the same size on photobucket as they post in my thread.
Should I be resizing them on my PC somehow first before uploading to photobucket?

I finally figured this out too a while back but there is another thread on this topic that someone posted directions with pictures and that is the one that finally got me on the right track. It is about the sizing when you upload your pictures to photobucket...you have to pick the one that says something like best possible quality or something like that.
