The Calmini kit will be fine if you are a mall crawler.
You could do a 2" body lift and a 3" SL and be better off than spending the money on the calmini kit.\

No, you won't have to buy UCA's. It comes with everything you need to have a giant spacer and a little less ground clearance.

It all depends what you are looking to get out of the suspension, offroad ability or just the look?

have heard good and bad about Calmini's lift but for me, it wasnt even an option. I went with 2.0 Radflo's, PRG UCA's, PRG Shackles and Deaver AAL's but going to be swapping my entire suspension out here in a few months for something better. I get bored fast.

This is true if you are not planning to add anything to the Calmini kit. If you want to be able to wheel it, it is going to cost you quite a bit more to make it perform well. The only thing left from my Calmini kit is the drop bracket itself, and I can't be happier.

I have it. I did add the PRG coil overs eventually after. I am really pleased with it. The set up feels real solid right now.

From the people I wheel with who have used it...it lowers your ground clearance a lot, by putting a big lowering bracket, like a bulldozer blade, right at the front cross member.

That road grader/lowering bracket gets packed with mud, which then hardens to adobe, etc...unless you spend a LOT of time cleaning it out after wheeling.

Maybe out where there's just silt/sand its not so bad, but it still kills your approach/ground clearance.

Its pretty much a clone of the poseur lifts you see on every Tom Dick and Harry's full sized pick-up...where it gives the height by simply putting the suspension on top of a giant honking bracket that sticks DOWN further to mount it....

...Which is why so many guys who JUST want to be tall get it...and are happy if that's all they wanted...as they didn't realize they could be just as tall, or taller, with a BL/SL combo and a few grand change in their pocket to spare.

The ones who got it and DIDN'T just want to be taller, had to chuck almost the entire kit, ironically, typically keeping the road grader bracket...and installing Titan swaps, or, chucking it ALL and doing Titan Swaps.

If you off road, it saves a ton of money to not get it, and then throw all or most of it away.

The Titan Swap options seem to be the way to go frankly.
