I had to replace the window regulator in my 00 Se today. It would move to much in teh channel. It was hitting something in the door and making loud nosies when you closed the door with the window half way down. The new regulator is not much better thought.
I did it myself for 44.00. A local auto glass place wanted 135.00 to do it.
Have any of you guys had to replace the regulator.

Okay I did replace the regulator, but that was not the problem. I found out it the molding. The molding that holds the window in place is broken/cracked. So if I have the window half way down it rocks in the window channel.

woot woot! go ricer!!
And as far as the regulator... it's just par for the course. anytime you have anything motorized sooner or later you're going to have to replace it, because the motors give out. that was my biggest complaint with the old style corvettes (up to '05 when they changed body styles) with the motorized headlights... i STILL see at least 3 vettes a week with a headlight stuck up or down that they have to buy motors for.... but Im commission.. so I don't complain... :)

I am still having problems with my drivers side window. When it is not all the way up or down at rattles (a lot). A local (Columbus, GA) auto glass place said it was the regulator. I said no look at the window it has to be the weatherstripping. They said no Billy Bob (not actual name/name has been changed to protect the dumb) has been doing this for 20 yrs. Trust us. So I change the regulator myself and of course it does not solve my problem. $44.00 for that
Now I talk to Nissan and of course they say you need to replace the weatherstripping/glass runner. I bought it today and it cost me $115.00
I had to have it becuase the wife and I are going to Coco Beach, Fl for a week and some today the broke stripping causes wind noise.:rolleyes-big: :temphot: :boese-big:
