: Sold.... :( :(
soccerbrace 01-31-2011, 12:13 PM I sold my beloved MR2 yesterday. I am going to miss that thing so bad. It was the first car that I modified. It was the first car I got a ticket in. I lost my license for a year for doing 120 in a 65 in that car. I got charged with vandalism for doing donuts in a parking lot with it. I fell asleep in it going 70 MPH, I smoked BMWs in it, I rolled backwards and smashed another car while making out in it, I have a $5K sound system in it. My ex-girlfriend flashed her boobs while driving in it, I spent every paycheck on that thing for over 3 years while I was in the Nav...y. I beat Z28 Camaros off the line in it, I hollered at fembots on the strip in it. I rolled around with the T-tops down in it. I laughed in it, I cried in it, I took the girl I lost my V to around in it so she can find an 8 ball of coke in it. I was a criminal in it, I was a pimp in it, I was a scrubby young man in it for a while. From 2001-2011, I owned that vehicle and I loved every minute of it. Adios old friend. I hope that your new home is what I wanted for you.
:)
heus33 01-31-2011, 12:19 PM hope you had seat covers.
TimRich 01-31-2011, 12:21 PM I'm sorry to hear that James... Hope she went to a good home.
J Everett 01-31-2011, 12:22 PM Bummer, James. I know what it's like to let go of a ride that's been with you for a long time. It was tough to sell my Ranger that I had for 9 years.
Xterror04 01-31-2011, 12:38 PM hope you had seat covers.
And I hope you washed them lol
drbandkgb 01-31-2011, 12:46 PM I love the MR2s :)

You never forget your first. (Good times!!!):rocker-big:
The really funny thing about all that is, everything you said there, sounds just like me and my first Datsun 510. (except it moved on to the afterlife, when I got into a head on collision at 100+ mph. And I got popped for 130mph in a 50mph zone, lol)

shes hidding in the bushes shes been sitting there for about 5 years
Creepy Cruiser 01-31-2011, 04:24 PM I don't know if I could ever sell my MR2. (It's part of who I am)
soccerbrace 01-31-2011, 06:53 PM I HAD to, it was kind of last resort for me. I was actually on the vergo of tears when I let it go. I had the seats re-upholstered :)
Creepy Cruiser 02-01-2011, 12:40 AM If I ever had to sell mine, I'd have to keep the seats and wheels (I custom did my seats also). I'd turn my seats into office chairs.
Yep, it's hard to part with something that has so many memories attached to it. I know how you felt as I had those same feelings parting with my Nova since it was the car I had so many firsts in. Like most things, time eventually takes the sting out of letting your baby go.
Although getting the X really helped get over cleaning out the garage for me as it's the best vehicle I've ever or probably will ever own.
Hope you find something to take your mind off it.
soccerbrace 02-01-2011, 12:10 PM Yeah, I kinda want a hardbody.
Xterror04 02-01-2011, 12:16 PM Get one! I miss mine..

Creepy Cruiser 02-01-2011, 01:06 PM I have one of those also. I love my HB, it's my winter "beater with a heater".
Of course it also has a custom complete color change on it too, lol, (it used to be the dark blue). And it has custom interior with WRX seats in it. Why can't I leave anything alone?

RATTFINK 02-01-2011, 01:09 PM Nice Creepster!!
TimRich 02-01-2011, 01:43 PM Nice trucks!
soccerbrace 02-01-2011, 02:10 PM Yeah, I am diggin. They look great with a mild lift and 33" tires. Of course, that is all I wanted to do with my X.
Todd, there is someone here who painted their X that exact same color. I know you wouldn't believe me, but it's true. Can't think of who it is though?
bluex 02-01-2011, 02:41 PM Sorry to hear James. Sounds like you had some good times w/ her. Love those HB too. Just a lift & 33s is all you need. HAHAHHAHA

Are you making fun or me, or are you actually cereal?
That color is actually a complete custom color, so someone might have one similar, but not exact. The Lamborghini sky blue is very close also, just a little more pastel than mine. It's one of the few colors out there that has no metallic or pearls in it at all, it's all toners. I have this very bad habit of bench mixing cool colors, but then they can never be matched if they need a repair, lol.
soccerbrace 02-01-2011, 03:45 PM cereal? Yeah, I'm a fruit loop :)
I was pretending that I temporarily forgot that it was YOU who painted your X the same color :)
That color rocks the X! I still laugh after I first joined CX and had an entire Nissan dealership scrambling to find me an X in that color. Even printed out Creepy's pic to prove it existed.
Creepy Cruiser 02-01-2011, 05:28 PM That's what I thought, but I wasn't quite sure, lol.

My friend Reese has that color as well.. Not sure how far off but its fairly close.
Creepy Cruiser 02-01-2011, 06:42 PM It's fairly similar to the Shock Blue.
soccerbrace 02-01-2011, 09:36 PM C'mon Todd, you know I wouldn't clown on you :)
Jackal 02-01-2011, 09:45 PM hope you had seat covers.
