Hey fellow CX peeps.
I'm in western NC and my timing belt is coming up due already. I haven't bought the equipment yet but I am trying to see if there is anyone close by who'd be willing to help a girl out. I'd already gotten some quotes from the nearby garages and shops and whatnot and they're looking at 500 or more not including cost of the parts.

So, if you're close by and may have some experience... let me know.

The right tools and prep are key. A good air ratchet to break off the pulley bolt is very helpful. i'd help but wrong side of the country.

Air ratchet? With a 27mm socket? You mean impact :) I use a Snap On similar to this ratchet but with a comfort grip. It's super sweet :)

When I called around here in Savannah GA I got a bunch of horrible quotes at first, in the $1200+ area with parts. Finally I called a shop that has been around for 15+ years and they told me $612 for the belt and the water pump. With parts. Oh and also the tensioner and all that stuff too.

So if you cant find anyone call around again.
