Hello, I just picked up a 2003 SE s/c for my wife. Beautiful truck, although I haven't gotten to drive it yet, I'm looking forward to getting it wet and dirty. And also looking to spend time here learning.

Welcome!
Quick word of advice. I have an '04 S/C and I can tell you that if that supercharger is whistling to you... back off the gas before you're out of it. lol
But I absolutely wouldn't trade it for the world!

I know when I first joined the forums weren't very active and now the daily postings are nearly full on the homepage. It's great! I think people are preferring this site over the others because of the friendlier welcomes and replies. Not near the flaming and ego trips of another site I won't mention. Just good honest help without the hazing.

Yes, there are very friendly folks on this board. Even for people who haven't got an Xterra yet, but are asking questions. (Like me. :) )
When I wanted to find out from Xterra owners about their rigs, I did check out that "other" site first (whose names start with X.O.C.). I didn't really find a whole lot there that I wanted, plus, it didn't seem very popular. Very few posts and info. So, I came here and liked the way the site looked, plus, people seemed to be having a good time here.
Because of that, here I am. Hopefully, I'll be joining the "owners club" soon and feel like a "Certified" owner in the club.
Glad to know you all, and Brad, welcome. Do post pics of the X when you get the chance. Also, feel free to post photos of you and wife, if you'd like. You'll like it here.

Glad to hear you're loving yours.. I read a quote from someone here saying they had heard bad things about the supercharged motors. I haven't been able to find anything though. What is your experience? Anything to look out for, other than that annoying whistle? (Trust me, the whistle on my Cummins TD is a lot louder. Let's you know something is happening.)
Thanks, everyone, for the warm welcome.

I'm trying to remember off the top of my head but it seems like the knock sensor is troublesome on the supercharged engines. Basically if it goes out it shuts down the supercharger if I understand correctly. But it's impossible to find a vehicle that doesn't have some flaw. And so far the positives are greatly outweighing the negatives to me.
