hey guys,

i was wondering, has anyone taken out there exhaust resonator? if so does it sound good??

and i was also thinking obout getting a new intake system.

i have heard of brute force and volant, does anyone know about these brands and which one is best for an 05 v6 se.

thanks very much!!!!!!!+

If I'm not mistaken James (Soccerbrace) has a write up on how to remove your resonator and it's been bumped up here recently so do a search on "resonator" and see what you get. I've heard it gives it a pretty throaty sound.

As far as CAI's go, the word is Volant from what I'm reading. It's also a true cold air intake and not a CLEAN air intake.

Yeah, Drakes right. Do a search.

I did mine and it sounds a little throaty. Seems to have a bit better pick up too. Idk, it could just be wishful thinking but thats my experience.

Throttle body spacers are ineffective for engines with fuel injection. At least that's what I'm getting as far as what I've read.

From what I've read on Club Frontier the Intake Manifold Spacer (IMS) is the way to go. The other consensus is that the air intake is pretty good and doesn't really need changing.
For the exhaust get rid of the "Y".

There is a lot of info at www.clubfrontier.org (http://www.clubfrontier.org) and www.thenewx.org (http://www.thenewx.org)

This is their words. I am on the fence about it.
