Earlier tonight I did a night run with a jeep buddy of mine on a nearby trail. He had never been there so I was giving him the layout. Anyways, on our way out, I got a little fast on the powerline road and caught a rock or rut or something and really popped the front end up. When I say fast, I mean like 10mph whereas I would've normally been going 5mph had I seen the obstacle.
After the bounce, the right front wheel gave a knock, sounded similar to the pop the CV's will make at full cut sometimes. I thought it might have been the bumpstops bottoming out since I just did my PML but it didn't sound like rubber on metal contact. It didn't do it anymore after that and drove fine all the way back home. No knocks, squeels, grinding or vibrations. Turning into my driveway once again it knocked another time.
It's too dark and 15 degrees outside so I'm waiting for daylight to inspect to see if there's something damaged. Just wondered if any of you guys could give me a head's up as to where to look first and what could make the noise. Is it just one of those common freak noises that comes and goes?
