Maybe I'm the only one but I was curious about this. When I have free time (which has been quite often lately) I like to hit up video posts and watch the Xterra vids people have posted. Thought maybe I would start a thread and see what others out there like to see.

This is probably my fav. for the simple reason that when my jeep buddies watched it, their jaws hit the floor and I quote: "Dude I had no idea an Xterra could do that!" My favorite part is towards the end when you just know the guy is stuck... or is he?

I think that was the first X video I had watched after I bought my X. That is a sweet rig. I like that bumper. That video and this one of the solar yellow X in the desert getting that huge air was another one of the firsts I saw.

Dude, that X is freaking sick! Do you know if there's a build thread on it anywhere? That's the best IFS setup I've seen. Just a quick flash at the beginning, but it looked like coilovers and custom control arms and steering. That thing handled pretty amazing.

that setup is bad A$$ and it also come with a account closing price tag... you could do a SAS for the same amount if im not mistaken.... cause all you get from TC is the arms then you have to buy thr coil overs and then you also have to get the fiberglass fenders.... i called TC and priced everything then i said WOW and told him nevermind.. LOL

Don't forget the extended axles and the highly recommended King Kong Steering kit.

I actually sat at the top of that hill for a minute while my buddy slid down first. When I watched his truck slide up and around the tree, I could see a small rut that guided him around it so it kinda gave me the nerve to think I could make it too. But yeah... I "puckered" up once that tree started getting really close. hahahaha

Oh and he posted that the X is a 2005 when it is either an '03 or '04 I believe.

Does he have those lights drilled directly into his roof?

Actually I believe those are attached to his fairing. I've seen a few guys who have used a flat bar to reinforce the fairing and then attach their lights to the bar through the fairing. It's a nice way to do the install if you are concerned about clearance issues.

It was nerve racking until the tire caught again in the back. But after it was over I was thinking "Wow i have never seen rocks rotate out the window like that before".

Its a very unnerving obstacle... all you see is sky so you have to trust your spotter and feel to go up it and if you get just a little off the line the tires peal off the wall... and... well... you can see what happens. :) You get neoprene up your rear.

I wonder what has become of the "Phoenix". I haven't heard anything of it since Allen parted ways with it. For those that don't know, the "Phoenix" is the resurrection of that black xterra that rolled at Moab. Chopped up cabin, replaced with tube cage, SAS'd and sick flex. Man it was sweet. Hated to see Allen get rid of it but he had good reasons why.

I tried to when we first hit that huge hill climb on #22 but ended up maxing out my memory card and had to delete it to make room for pictures. Sorry man... guess we will just have to go back and try again. ;)
