Hi Xterra club members -
This is pretty cool to be in a club where you can talk about cars. Iam female and dont know a whole lot about cars so this is great to be able to talk to other owners and to ask questions about car repairs. I love my xterra it has saved my life you might say. Last April I got in an accident and rolled it twice, no air bag went off no glass was broke I only had bruises and a head ache. I did have some body damage to the car, mainly to the front quarter pannels on both sides of my car but I thought that was pretty good considering I rolled twice. I was very lucky and thank my car for that.

Wow that is insane! Glad to hear that you are ok. Just curious as to how it happend? I take a lot of long trips up to Vermont from New York for skiing and the roads get pretty scary. Just last Monday on my way home I had to keep my speed under 65mph. People (other xterras) were flying past me while I crawled in the middle lane. I felt like the truck (08 off road 6sp manual with all bf good all terain tires) was slipping from the rear around gradual highway curves. Any advice?

Yeah... go slower! Just rippin' on ya man. Seriously though, I'm not sure how the 08's are but my '04 is extremely front end heavy and the back end will get loose quite a bit. I actually have a video of me wheelin' back around New Year's where I'm sliding down this muddy hill and at the bottom right before I come to a stop you can actually see my rear wheel lift off the ground!
Maybe some of the 2nd gen guys here can give you some better advice but I say back off the gas a bit. Of course what do I know... I'm from Alabama. We haven't seen snow over 8" in almost 20 years!

if im not mistaken the X comes with BFG long trails or the rugged trails dont they?????? chexk your lockerit might be enguaged so when you go around curzes and corners the rear end dosent do what it needs to....
