So I found a nice 2000 SE at carmax and those crazy guys actually gave me some money for my ticking timebomb of a mustang. So far I'm very happy with my trade. I'm going to try and hold back on the bigboy tires and offroad goodies since I'm trying to stay at least partially practical with this vehicle. Glad I found an active forum for the xterra though. Makes owning one alot easier and enjoyable. Thanks now for all the info I'll get from this site in the near future.

You don't have to go extreme right out of the gate with your mods. Just do it in stages. Things like a PML (poor man's lift), removing your rear swaybar (highly recommended even if you're not offroading) and engine mods like CAI.

The PML is only 1 1/2" but I think it gives the X a nice stance and it only costs about $60 to do.
