I might be going. On a similar note, do you know where I can go that has an overlook of Eugene/Springfield that i can drive up to? There was an ad on craigslist for an Xterra for sale. Some of the pictures were taken in a really cool place to take pictures of the valley. I later realized the ad was Blown_X's 03 for sale. Anywho. I am a photographer and I am looking for really cool over looks in the Eugene/Springfield area that I can use my X to get to. I tried going up to Coburg Ridge, but according to the sign the FAA have gated it off. Does that help?

What are the directions to get there?

It's a finished road all they way up to the quarry, which is very near the top. Well first mapquest how to get to the Emerald Empire Gun Club. It's at the base. The road to the top is pretty self explanatory. There is only one intersection, stay to the left. I believe it's about 7 miles to the top. When the road turns to gravel and the quarry is on your left, you know you are close. Just keep going and you'll run right into the lookout.

Its super easy to get up there. I used to go up 3 or 4 times a week at night and have bon fires. You can take a road over to shotgun creek and its super fun in the snow.

I might be new but that looks fun as hell. It would definitely be worth the drive down to check out, unfortunately the 12th doesn't work for me on account of my crazy work schedule, but if someone wants to check it out and/or do a group picture sometime let me know !
