I have not seen a clear pattern, I think its like Ms. America, where you're supposed to vote for the one who did best on the interview (YAY WORLD PEACE!!!) , but if she's ugly, everyone feels the wrong one was picked.

And Hag...your rig is one of my favourites for sure.

Morb- this site is geared more towards the 1 and 1.5 Gen X's, plus yours is one of the nicer ones on this site so it doesnt shock me that you've got the number of votes that you have. I am surprised at the number I have though. I figured I'd finish in the top 3-5 at best but theres still a long way to go.

I honestly wouldn't say we're really geared toward 1st gens, it's just that second gens have a site to themselves and unless they want to come to an awesome forum like this, they just stay there.

Yep... We have had some great 2nd Gens pop up in here.. Its been very hard to get more in with the NX having a great site.. But I have seen Gens 2s grow in numbers here :) its a great sign

TJ you are very cynical about this poll.

If the membership was tallied with the years of the rigs, we'd probably be closer to 50/50 than you realize.


There were 5 model years of Gen 1 (2000-2004), and, there's now 7 model years of Gen 2 (2005-2011)....


So, after correcting for how many sold of each year, yada yada yada....its pretty close.

Just saying cause this poll is 80% 1 Gen X's and from patrolling around this site it looks like the majority of the activity is from members that own 1 Gen's.

These polls tend to be 80% gen 1 because Gen 2s have been slow to mod.. Well like what your doing.. Stock rigs just dont do well in these polls...

I'd say the 1st gen members are just more active.

Morb- Yea, I have another 2 years left on mine until a Titan Swap can be done. Gonna start buying parts here for it soon though then probably upgrade to 35's.

I hate to hi-jack this thread but it seems like the only topics I can post in are ones started by the admin. I still haven't received my email confirmation from when I registered so I'm limited to what I can do. Can someone tell me if I'm doing something wrong or if I have skipped a step in the registration process.

That being said, this will probably be my last attempt for XOTM. My rig will never be heavily modded due to a few things:

1. It is my DD and I need it to be reliable.
2. My wife is disabled so it can never be lifted more than the 33's have already done.
3. With 4 of us in the house, money is kinda tight all the time.

I have wheeled both my Xterras extensively and will continue to do so for as long as I can afford to. And I will continue to post trip reports whenever I go wheeling. And anyone is welcome to come along, no matter what you drive. After all, it is all about being in good company and having fun. :excellent:

Yes, I did. Thanks, D. Now, the X is wrapped on the side windows and both sides of the back window with COX & STT decals.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that voted for me. I really thought that I'd finish in the top 5 at best let alone win over here. I just didnt think my X was all that to be honest but I guess when you see and drive it everyday you tend to forget just how badass of a ride you have until you get a reminder like this.
