I am really interested in a rear bumper like the one shrocks have how long of a wait are they at, does anyone know? I really like the spare tire holder and I plan on getting the front within a year.

Your best bet to is to call Shrock on the phone and ask.

Their wait times have gotten crazier, and our guess would be worse than theirs.

They have been giving a discount when stuff is ordered together...so, if you want it within a year, you should be golden.

Great, do they charge your card the day you place an order? If they dont I will place a order. and just hope to see it next year.

They were at one point, I don't know about now, again, calling them is the best bet.

where else can I get armor for my xterra? I dont mind waiting a month but waiting a few months is unacceptable or anything. if someone is that far behind they are not doing something right.

If you go to AC's site, and find something you like, or, find a local fab shop and tell them what you want, you can add any options you want.

As Shrock's waits are too long for a lot of people, and if you too, this is probably your best bet.

We also have some people on here doing fab work you can talk to.

Plan C - Used Shrocks (And other armor) show up for sale from time to time....and have NO wait times.

Wait.....so Shrock is charging cards at the time the order is placed and not when the order is filled??!! Wow how nice for them they get your cash months before they provide you with the product.

When I picked up my front bumper in October, Jim said lead time was 12 weeks. They are a small shop that has shit loads of orders. Jim is trying to accommodate all of them. Do your self a favor and be patient if you want a good bumper. I love mine. It's totally bad ass. Again, you can always call and ask Jim directly. He always answers the phone

What the hell takes Shrock so long to make a bumper.... they've got the design and patterns already set...

It should take a few days to make a shrock... its not that complicated. Maybe a week to fab and powdercoat...

6 months is outrageous.... there's got to be something going on we don't know about. Hell I could make a bumper similar to shrocks in a week... by myself. With a little help and a plasma cutter I could put one together in a few days.

They're really not worth it IMO.... go custom. They look better, cost less, and you can get one done in a matter of days or weeks.

Shrock is lame

I am willing to bet they have like 3 welders going and so many orders they cant make them fast enough...pretty piss poor IMO

if they charge the card at point of order they should be hiring more people, so they sit around with your money for 3 months before they make the product you paid for. And who does 4x4parts get their rear bumpers from?

@drbandkgb -
Shrock is talking about stopping production?! crap.
ok well I really hope others step up to make first gen bumpers.

I think it odd though that there is a full charge at time of order rather than at time of order shipment.
I thought that was not allowed (legally? - at least amazon is not able to do that...)
I would be fine paying a deposit now, non-refundable for the bumpers et. al. and then waiting a year even to get them, but that is a huge hit to get with right now and not get the product...

Call Jim and talk to him, he posted on the other site that he has obtained financing to purchase new equipment to expand. Wait time is down from what it was in the past. You can also ask him if he has shipped to one of his vendors.

Yeah, I think that it is pretty unnacceptable that they take so damn long. How can the same problem be going on for 5 years and still never be addressed? I wonder if it is just the Nissan crowd that is getting stiffed? They make stuff for many different makes, and I think that we are the odd man out, therefore his smallest customer base. It might be the same with his Suzuki, and his Mitsubishi crowd, but I bet his Jeep crowd get something new all the time.

4x4parts sells both Shrock & Skid Row items. I have SR & love it!!! Might be faster to just order SR...Mike usually has it in stock.

As far as I'm aware, ordering Shrock via AC is no different than going directly to Shrock. They just front the sale. Shrock still has to build it.
