I wanted to see who from FL would be going to TN for the homecoming June 10th and 11th. A convoy would be ideal for such a long drive.

I would like to go, just too far out right now to say definitively. It would be cool to convoy up there, maybe cut costs by splitting hotel rooms or even camping.

Ya will do, I have been saving like crazy just in case it really happens Im not dead broke. Sounds like a plan. We might be able to pick up that guy in GA along the way some where 2.

I just added up the gas it would take to get there and back, I could fly there and get a hotel, which I might actually do instead. I know it defeats the purpose, but with school and work I wont have the 2 or 3 days travel time plus the event to take off.

Chad, You're more than welcome to ride up with me. Might be cheaper to chip in on gas than to get a flight and hotel. We can either camp out or split a hotel. Just a thought, let me know what you think.

If some of you all do end up flying in, I'd be willing to pick people up at the airport in either Knoxville or Nashville. Just an option...

Its almost 12 hours from my place but I was thinking of driving straight through on Thursday, do the tour on Friday, and then Woolys on Saturday, home Sunday. Only problem is most of the hotels (at least the ones I stay at) are booked up.

Trust me guys there are some nice hotels in the Boro

I'm doing my best to make it. I'll have to take leave, but since I've deployed so much, it shouldn't be a problem for me. I'm sure I'll be camping when I get there.

I plan on heading up. I've got family 2 hours north of there, so afterwards I can just finish vacation with the family.

I'll probably try to leave the 9th. I'm coming from the end of the panhandle (Pensacola area) ... the plan is to head up FL state hwy 87, to AL state hwy 41, then I-65 from Brewton, AL (my normal trip route).

What route do y'all plan on taking? and maybe we can make the convoy happen. :D
