Nice! Im on LI and I was looking for places to off road in the summer.

We are basicly just a free fourm atm since technicly there is no "legal" place to offroad on Long Island so its a fourm for all the LI truck people

and for all those looking at this, the guys over at LINXC.com couldnt understand that we are not offroading illegaly we are another fourm for the people with trucks on the island

I was gonna say, isn't Lawng Ayeland pretty much one burb after another? Where you gonna wheel? On the beach?

Not to be an ass, but I don't get it. Is this like a mixed Jeep/Xterra club or something? whats wrong with LINXC? Half the guys over there don't even drive X's anyway. I know showing up at a LINXC M&G with a Shjeep wouldn't be a deal at all.

As far as offroading on LI, the beaches are supposed to be used for fishing access. That's not to say you can't do a little driving around, but you can't start jumping dunes or anything like that. We all know there's no offroad parks, so that leaves private property?

What am I missing? Just join LINXC and let's strengthen the LI area X's not divide them!

nothings wrong with LINXC they were jsut giving me a hard time about our fourm that my friend and i made and have been planning to make. its just over illegal offroading and such how the site is crapp and its just i gave up on agrueing its not worth it

knowing a bunch of those guys personally, I think it's prob just some mis-communication. That being said, they take Tread Lightly pretty serious over there, as they do here, so be care about what you post.


As far as another LI offroading board, you never answered my question. What is its purpose? who's it for?

I think he got insulted because he put up some stuff that violated TREAD LIGHTLY, they called him on it, so he found some javascript template, spent a dollar on hosting, made a rival board, and then went to CX to try to promote it.

thenewx.org and CX are international boards, even if he compared it to NEXterra.org, which covers all of the Northeast, it wouldn't make anysense.

We made this for all the LI people because there isnt a fourm for all the long island offroaders
