Well after thinking a couple of years about getting an xterra Im finally making the jump. I am selling my camaro and then buying my 2002 Xterra SE this saturday. Its silver w/gunmetal rims fully loaded w/sunroof and has 57200 miles. Price is $12700 firm. Is this a pretty good buy? I kbbed it private party and it was $14500 or so.

Anything I should look for when buying it or are there not alot of trouble spots? I will post up w/ pics when I get it.

That sounds like a fair deal considering new SE's are twice that price. Congrats on the new ride! I bet you'll be counting the hours down today!!!

Hey, I've always wondered where the term "Whip" came from with respect to cars... I dont get the correlation.

Oh yea, BTW, welcome aboard! :)

X's are notorious for the passenger side exhaust manifold to crack, so you might wanna check that out.

Congrats on the new rig!! Planning on wheel'n it??

Thanks for the heads up. Well I picked it up yesterday and all is great. Not a door ding on it and only one small scratch. There is however little specs on the rear that look like rock chips and they are starting to rust a little. Is this normal? Its only on the back hatch (high and low) and drivers side door below the strip. Very unnoticable but I wish i knew what it was and also I was reading the manual and it sounds like Nissan has a 60month finish warranty? If so it is still under it. Should I contact nissan and see what they do or can any of you confirm this? The previous owner was the original owner and rarely towed anything. It does have mudflaps also.
