Hey ya'll, the turnout for the meet was awesome. We had 11 vehicles and actually a very good Titan turnout. Since some of the guys like the idea of camping/offroading for our next meet. Lets roll with that idea and get the ball rolling on idea's.

What is The Run?

The Run is a non-profit charity event in which all proceeds and donations will go directly to this year’s chosen charity… which will be announced soon!

A little history and info:
......The Run is an annual charity event hosted by the 350z Club of Florida in Tampa Bay to celebrate the return of Nissan’s sports car, The Z. The Z was reborn in late 2002 under the new name of the 350Z. Included in the purchase this awesome vehicle was a promotional video called The Run. This video features the new 350Z demonstrating its true capabilities on a high-speed, spirited drive through the vacant streets of Prague.

The 1st “The Run” event was held in September 2003, and at this year's event we will be celebrating the 6th anniversary of the launch of this magnificent machine. Those who participate will take part in a "Poker Run", along with a timed event that will be done through a predetermined course. In our Run we route a course through Tampa Bay that will be both scenic and exciting, during which all participants ensure that all traffic laws are observed. The final destination will be in the side car lot at Quaker Steak & Lube, with food and a huge charity drawing with many prizes. Don’t forget to bring extra cash for tickets for the drawing. Some of the past year’s big ticket items were Nismo Catback Exhaust System, Nismo Cold Air Intake, Polished Plenum, Cryo Treated Rotors, Z Nationals Track Day, BC Racing coilovers, wheels, sway bars and many more. Each item in the drawing will each have a drop box so you can pick what you want to win. Remember, there is no limit to how many you can buy. The more you enter, the better your chances. And again, all money that is collected from the registration fees and all drawings proceeds will go to our chosen charity!

Who is invited to participate?
For the last 3 years we had such an awesome turn out with everyone who helped and participated that we would like to again invite all 350Z, 370Z, G35 and G37 owners along with our older Z model and GT-R friends to participate in The Run. Please keep in mind that since this event is geared towards the 350Z, many of the prizes from the drawings will be for the 350z and G35 owners. However our general drawing does include many general prizes for everyone.



What is the Poker Run?
While driving the course, there will be five stops set up at various locations. At each stop, there will be a Z Club of Florida officer along with a “The Run” volunteer waiting with a deck of playing cards. Each driver will be allowed to draw one (1) and only one card which will be recorded on the drivers’ card sheet. At the end of The Run, the driver with the best poker hand will win a great prize!

What is the Timed Run?
First and foremost, “It is NOT a race for the fastest time”. It is to see how accurate you are at driving the predetermined course. While driving in “The Run”, each car will be timed. As in previous years, The Run officers and volunteers (who still will not be competing in the timed event) drove the course multiple times to get an average time for which it takes to complete. This includes traffic lights, traffic conditions, obeying speed limits, etc. The participant that completes the course closest to the predetermined average (higher OR lower) will win a prize!

How does the Prize Drawing work?
Each time you purchase a ticket for the drawing, it will benefit the All Children’s Hospital. Every item from the drawing featured in the charity event will have been donated by our sponsors. Once we receive them, they will be announced to all.

Please keep in mind that we also hold a general drawing which includes all general items such as gift certificates and clothing.

Many of the big ticket items that will be listed soon will also be featured at Quaker Steak & Lube in our individual drawing. This allows you to choose exactly which item you're interested in. As we get info and prizes from the sponsors, we will update you with the items.

So im thinking the 21st. Which is the 3rd saturday in November at around 3-5pm in Ocala National Forest.

So here's the idea.

We can arrive at the campgrounds in Ocala National Forest at around 3-4pm. From there those who wana go wheeling can get in formation. As long as the leader of the group has the map. I know some of the vehicles wouldn't do to well in the sand. So those people can help set up camp, get the brews a going along with getting food ready for later that night.

Have everyone else try and get back from wheeling around 7-8pm. We can get smores ready and just have a really great time talking amongst everyone. Then from there a final night run...

I'm down for some Ocala wheeling as long as I'm not scheduled for any tests the week after at the university.

I'll check and confirm my participation.
