I just started looking into powder coating my stock wheels. The guy I talked to about doing it says he doesn't need to sandblast them, he is just going to use some type of polish to take off the top layer of film or something like that and then prime and PC them. His shop is a storage unit and says he has been doing this for years and he is only going to charge me $50 because I work where he livesand he is going to hook me up. He seems to know what he's talking about, but I'm no expert. My friend told me the wheels should always be sandblasted to clean them. What is the best process for the aluminum alloy wheels?
