He is pretty close to finishing.... I think all he has left to do are the drive shafts, and maybe some other minor things. but he is haveing some slight financial trouble (had to pay alot of money for dental work or something). So we arent sure when he will be finishing up...... hopefully soon.

not to many lifts for either 1st or 2nd gen.... and calmini is the only brand that offers a sas kit..... the 2nd gen has a 5.5" lift but the 1st only has a 3"... hope that is the info you were looking for....

edit: calmini only offers the SAS kit for the 1st gen..... thats the reason this guy has been doing the lift for a while.... he is making his own.....

You will have bad case of bumpsteer if you don't make the drag link and track bar as close to parallel as possible. It won't be good on the road or off. If you hit a dip or bump, it will steer to the right.

I just signed on here to look at some Xterra's for a friend who's going to build one. I wanted to look at what you guys have done. I drive a Range Rover and love seeing something besides Jeeps on the trails. Keep up the good work.

The X does just fine driving.

I'm sure it does, on flat ground. Hit your brakes hard, does it steer itself?
I did notice you trailer it. That's good. I'm not being critical of your build, it looks great. Research the track bar angle and you'll see what I mean. Try Pirate4x4.com.

Yeah this rig is kickass. There is a youtube video of him dragracing it against a toyota tacoma in the snow that's friggin' hilarious. He is in 2WD against the toy in 4WD and just smokes his ass and leaves him in the wake of a monstrous snow rooster tail.

Watch this:

I'm still arounf just got the stuff to fix my X.
I broke it =(. HAH. I'm replacing the tubing
under the X for some tougher SH*T.
Got another vid of me just after i broke the X.
I bent the 3rd link, which rotated the axle backwards.
It broke a shock, front driveshaft and a link.
U can see the X at 2:20 getting pulled out.
