Hey everyone. I'm about to buy new tires for my X. Its stock with no lift. I was gonna put on a set of 265/75/16 tires and was wondering if I could get some feedback on different tire brands. I'm leaning towards BF Goodrich A/T's but have also looked at Goodyear Duratrac and Nitto Terragrappler.

I like the way all of them look but I was wondering what the tread life was like with these tires on a 2004 X. Any input would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Dustin

As far as tread life, the BFG AT ko is king of the hill, with sets typically going 75 -90k miles.

The Nitto's seem to last ~ 35-45 k miles.

We don't have enough data on the Duratracs because they are pretty new, so, there's not many people with that many miles on them. They do look promising, but, that one area is an unknown at this point.

The ko has a tougher 3-ply sidewall.

The Duratrac has a commercial strength construction.

The Nitto is a std 2-ply all terrain.

All of the above info is correct as it usually is when it comes from TJ... :)
I have the Terra Grapplers and they have been a great tire. No complaints here, they do well in most of the FL conditions I've thrown at them. I've stayed away from deep mud with them as with most all terrains they wouldn't do well in mud. Good luck on picking a tire!
