I have purchased a 2000XTerra for my son. He just informed me that he'd like new speakers for Christmas, especially to replace the front speakers. I NEED lots of help. I need to know where to go, what to buy and what kind of budget I'm looking at. Could someone please help me? I would greatly appreciate any help with this project for my 17 year old.

the front speakers are 6.5'' and the rear are 6x9'' and as for price it just depends on what brands you want this should give you a example... go to www.crutchfield.com (http://www.crutchfield.com)

Are the 6 x 9 in the back door or in the very back? I looked on that website and it listed the same 6.5 speakers for the front panel and back door.
Thanks for your help.

I had 6.5's in my civic made by Memphis. I was really impressed with their quality and they are also guaranteed for life of the vehicle so if they ever blow, short out, etc. they will replace them. They run about $75 for a set of (2) 3-ways.

yeah you should hook him up with some components though if your xterra has stock components new ones will sound great with a four channel amp and make sure to replace the cd player with one that has at least three preouts so if he ever wanted to add subs he could
