if you guys were choosing between xm or sirius, which one would you get?

i have a XM and i used it for a while.... my boss has a siriusin his work truck and all he has is bad luck with it, the only thing keeping him from getting the XM is when he started the sirius he payed the $400 for life so that kinda screwed him up.....

which sports do you like? I have had sirius on 3-4 radios for 2-3 years.

The two are supposed to merge next year and have the best of both.......so they say.......

I have XM (3 years) and my brother has Sirius. They are almost the same except that Howard Stern is on Sirius. Plus Sirius carries all the NFL games. I would get Sirius instead of XM for these reasons if I were buying a new system.
I've also been following the XM-Sirius merger too. It is very likely now that the FCC will give its approval as early as the end of this year. I would expect by next summer the merger to take place hopefully. Both companies have said that if this happens radios sold today will still be compatible.
Bottom line you can get either service now and they should be one in the same next year.

sirus broadcasts the nfl games, which is what i would rather have. i have a friend who has xm in his truck, and he likes it, but he says that he would switch it to sirius to get the nfl games if he could. from what i have gathered, their both the same, so it all depends on what you want to listen to.

iv also heard that XM has been around longer, so they have the better technology, but also that sirius is right behind them. that would suck if they merged cause the prices of the stuff would skyrocket with no competition, but im not sure which one to get cause i keep hearing good stuff about one, then bad stuff, then good stuff about the other... u see what im gettin at.

right now im leaning toward sirius for the nfl games, but this is exactly why im curious what everyone else has.
