Thanks. This thing is sitting on over $500 worth of brand new tires that was on it when I got it so I feel the need to get the use out of those tires before I lift it and put bigger tires on it but I'm wanting to do some work on it pretty soon though.
NCPhotoTrekker 10-07-2010, 05:55 AM Wow, this makes me missmy 2000. Looked very much like yours does. I don't blame you for wanting to ride on the tires for a while, but you might want to check local tire shops. A lot of the ones around here will take lighly used tires on a sort of trade. You might be able to get a great deal on larger tires if you trade in before you use up the tread.

Thanks a lot man
RumbleBeeX 10-26-2010, 09:22 PM you should to black the bumpers and trim ASAP
Use krylon fusion for platics spray paint, pretty easy mod and well worth it
RumbleBeeX 10-26-2010, 09:24 PM how hard was installing that deck? how long did it take
my buddy just got the same alpine deck as me but doesnt wanna pay 120$ to get it professionally installed
we have all the parts i just dont wanna have to cut wires and mess stuff up
drbandkgb 10-27-2010, 05:40 AM Looking good man... now its time to paint those outside plastics
TimRich 10-27-2010, 08:03 AM ^X 2^ Looks good!

It took me and my dad about 4 hours to do the whole project, provided we have never done anything like this ever before. But after finishing the project and looking back on it, it wasn't too difficult.
I don't know about you all in CO but at the best buy near me, I could have the deck installed for around 50 bucks but I didn't want to wait 3 days to do it so we just done it ourselves :)
caseycamby 10-27-2010, 08:00 PM I defiantly agree with you guys about painting the outside plastics, that will probably be my next mod whenever I can get around to do it.
TFTerra 11-07-2010, 09:02 PM Yeah looking good! And installing a deck is extremely simple. If you have the wiring harness and the radio adaptor then you just need some butt-connectors and it's all color coded. Don't worry if there are a couple unused wires, most vehicles don't use them all. Try and get a good set of wire pliers because they will help a ton. You could solder the wires if your up to it, but in every case I've just used the red 18-22 gauge connectors and they work fine. Good luck with all the future mods.
caseycamby 11-15-2010, 07:06 PM A few days ago I ordered the 2in BL from AC so a lift is on the way!!
caseycamby 11-22-2010, 08:47 PM BL came in the mail today! Should get started putting it on Wednesday.
caseycamby 11-30-2010, 07:26 PM The BL is officially installed..

jmoney1990 11-30-2010, 07:56 PM i like it man i wish im gonna do the dash plastic this weekend i have a silver 2000 so idk what color to it im thinking something crazy how hard was it to take it off..?
caseycamby 11-30-2010, 08:01 PM Taking it off was no problem. The only problem I had was putting it back on but it wasn't too bad.
jmoney1990 11-30-2010, 08:17 PM thanks champ! im thinking about taking the time to mask it and do like a monster green checkerboard pattern or something pics will be up if i get around to it this weekend
caseycamby 11-30-2010, 08:22 PM No problem man. Defiantly post up some pics when you get a chance.
drbandkgb 11-30-2010, 08:23 PM Yes putting the dash back on was the hardest part..
Because you dont want to scratch the paint..
Id go silver on your dash Jmoney
jmoney1990 11-30-2010, 08:24 PM idk silver or checkerboard im not much for matching
caseycamby 12-01-2010, 07:23 PM A better pic..:)

Itsme 01-08-2011, 10:02 AM Lookin good! Keep up the good work!
I think it would look great with Kyrlon Fusion satin black plastics paint. It might just be me, but I think the black looks better than the grey. IMHO

Yeah man I definitely considered using the satin black for the bumpers but I obviously went with the dark pewter. I guess it all just comes down to personal taste but thanks for compliments!

Hey man I finally got around to using your idea of trading in my tires for some muds. Its awesome, thanks a lot for the idea, I love em!
caseycamby 03-14-2011, 09:04 PM So while doing a little off roading over the weekend I ran into a little problem. I was going up this very difficult trail that is pretty much just driving up a creek, and I got stuck. I got stuck at about 5 oclock and I called by buddy in with a winch on his Jeep and we tried to get it out but no luck.. I had school the next day so I had to leave my baby in the woods, sitting in a creek over night (one of the hardest decisions in my life lol).
We came in the next day after school more prepared and was able to get in out in about an hour..Thank God..

Nice! At least you got it out pretty easy...lol
Yeah me too haha I made it through that spot once. The way the trail is it's one trail and you turn around and come out the same way and coming through I got stuck a little bit but was able to make it out easy but when I got stuck the first time I think I dug it out and made it worse..
