I picked up my 2000 Xterra back in April 2010, primarily as a family vehicle that I could fit a whole lot of crap in the back of.

Here she is the day I got her.

Then I came across ClubXterra and saw how sweet these things can look and how well they can perform with little work.

First thing I did was remove the mud "flops" and installed some Hella 500's. Wasn't sure where to mount them, so I took a saucer from the house and cut the lower bumper around it.

I joked with my buddy about taking his Ram and my X to DTOR in Bedford KY. Didn't think he would take me serious. By the end of my first day ever offroad, I lost a center cap, slightly bent my tailpipe and put a small ding in the oil pan. The ram however lost a side step, got stuck in the mud for about 3 hours "ultimately saved by the X", and suffered some light body damage.

I ordered a set of Pro Comp series 52s, for it about a month ago. Received them in about two weeks ago but one looked like it had been scraped on concrete, so I waited another week to get the fourth replaced. Sooooooo, I finally got them installed and removed the side steps in the process. Amazing how removing the side steps can completely change the way the side looks! I'm still rocking the stock size tires and had to trim just a bit off the front plastics, but thats alright.

Got some sick 3 wheel action goin on there!

Great job getting out there and showing the world what a stocker can do.

Thanks for the welcomes! We made bets on who would get stuck first and who would damage their vehicle first. Xterra won on both counts. It was a blast though. I thought it was over when that wheel went up! Freaky experience for a newbie. Just pulled the plastics off for paint. Going satin black.
