Whats up everyone, my name is Mike (if you couldn't guess). I'm from Richmond, VA. This is my first Xterra, but not my first off-roader. My X is a 2010 Super Black Off Road edition - no extra features and it is all stock... and I like it that way! I don't have much planned as far as modifications, maybe a moderate lift in the future, but certainly not now.
My previous rig was/is a 1998 P38a Range Rover 4.0 SE. It has been a good truck, but it's got to go. The Rover has been converted to OME coil springs and is about 2.5 inches taller than a P38 on air suspension. What is crazy is that the X is just as tall in the rear and only 1 inch lower in the front! It has been a passion of mine but priorities are shifting, so I need something that isn't a maintenance whore.
The more I learn about the X the more I love it, it really is a great truck. Compared to the Rover, whose MSRP was in the $60k range btw, it walks all over it. Power, interior space, off-road ability... I could continue on, but it is all superior on the X.
Well, here are a few pics of my X and then the X and P38 together.
