So, I picked up my amps when I went back to california, and brought them back here.
A few years ago, I had my MR2 broken into, and all of my stereo equipment stolen. I kept my amps under my hood so they never found them. And I had custom boxes made which they also did not take.
When I moved out here, I took the boxes with me and until now, they have been in the closet.
My dad tried to play dumb when I went back to visit and said, "what amps?"
He tried to give $1000 worth of amps to the goodwill. Luckily, his roommate kept them for me.
Anyway, it turns out that the little bit of space between the seats and the firewall on a second gen MR2 is the exact same as the space and angle, height, width, breadth, depth as behind the seats on the first gen X.
This said, I was able to re-use the boxes and mounted the amps straight up to them. I am running Kicker CVR 10's and Phoenix Gold Titanium amps. I think it turned out to be a clean job.
I went over to Ace hardware and bought about 10 ft. of strap and the little trinkets which hold it in place. I ran the wiring through a grommet on the plastic interior trim. The strap hooks up to where the fold down seats do.
