There's some pretty easy trails throughout Teller county, easily 2wdable if dry weather. I lived in Woodland park for 3 years. Cripple Creek is nice in fall. Just be aware of lots of cops all up and down 24 from Colorado Springs! You can take 285 up into the mountains from Denver and hit a few trails off of it, same with I70. You can get to Red Cone from the 285 side but have to get all the way up into Summit county to hit some of the other stuff that connects to Red cone.. I used to live in Breckenridge for 6 years as well, and there are a ton of trails up there in the high country!

Go run Russel Gulch. Not really a trail persay.....but bad ass.
Rampart Range is very 2WD friendly.
I honestly think I did most of Kingston Peak (if not all of it) without hitting 4WD

welcome to the hood. I lived in Lakewood for about a year. Wads and Alameda

living in Wheat Ridge.... 44th and Wadsworth area.

all those trails should be on TrailDamage. Russel Gulch is between Idaho Springs and Central City. Kingston Peak is a little farther north....by Rollinsville. Rampart is a bit farther south.

Here's (http://www.clubxterra.org/forums/showthread.php?t=22985) pics of that.
I really like Boreas Pass (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=74) (in between Como and Breckenridge). I ran it in October, and there's was only light snow. Definitely 2WD friendly. The aspens are about to turn too (not sure if they've started).
Kingston Peak would be fun too.

And I guess I could be down for some 2wd friendly trails. Although if it's too long a drive I'm not sure it's worth it to run a dirt road.

yeah if i had a 4wd i would hit lots of crazy shit....maybe when i get a lift and some better tires i will go for some heavier trails.....but i will most likely be going to trails in Gulpin County....like around blackhawk and central city

I might drive down to Denver to see if I can find like a 4x4 shop or something to pick up some wheels for my 33"s this weekend, if I have extra time I would be down to hit trails.
