hey guys...ive been looking to do a small lift for my x and i keep finding things for the rear like the shackles and the add-a-leaf. i am also gonna put a 2-3" BL on mine. I was just wondering if there is anything to lift up the front besides cranking the t bars
thanks

nothign else actually lifts the front. just cranking tbars.
however, there are things to buy like new upper control arms and ball joint spacers to allow you to crank more than 1.5" without causing problems, you dont need to buy anything fo rthe front if you are lifting it 1.5" or less

You could go like me and get the whole total chaos kit. I haven't done it yet but it is in the works. haha im kidding just get new UCAs, and shocks.
If you want a small suspension lift (SL) for the X, say 1.5", then you could do a PML (Poor Man's Lift), which is just cranking the front t-bars until you have ~ 1/2 -3/4" upper bumpstop clearance....and adding 6" eye to eye shackles to the rear (The OEM shackles are ~ 3" eye to eye....so 6" gives 1.5" of lift)
The PML's (Suspension lifts) do not really make room for larger tires, they provide ground clearance for the frame...the axles and diffs, etc...stay at the same height.
The BL's provide no lift in of themselves, but allow larger tires to fit....
...and larger tires are the ONLY way to lift the entire X, diffs and all.
If you want a 3" SL, you'd typically add extra leaves to the rear leaf pack to raise it another 1.5" (With the longer shackles...), to get 3" in the back...
For the Front....you can't get a good wheel alignment with more than about 1.5" of front lift, as the tires tend to tip out at the top as they swing down with lift (Or droop, etc...)....and the factory range of adjustment can only compensate for about a 1.5" range.
To get a good alignment with a 3" lift up front, you replace the factory upper control arms (UCA) with aftermarket ones that are shaped to curve up at the ends, to get the tires tipped back upright at the new ride height...and, for the SLR Stage I-IV UCAs...they also have a curve that allows them to avoid the upper bumpstop a bit longer...so the tire can droop another couple of inches down.
(IE: The UCA replacements do not give lift, they just allow alignment at the new ride height...)
If you droop the front end more than about 7"...the CV joints can start binding...the angle is too severe...so if getting more than 7" of wheel travel, like the 9" you get with the SLR UCAs...you need to ALSO add a diff drop kit, which is simply new diff mount bushings with offst holes, that lower the diff 3/4"...enough to relieve the driveline angle stresses at full 9" droop, etc.
Hope that helps.

Wow, so it isn't as simple as buying a 2.5" lift kit (http://www.purenissan.com/2_5_add-a-leaf.htm) and calling it a day? Thanks. I have the same questions.
My X is a stock '05 Off-Road and I'd love to give it a modest lift for some bigger tires and more clearance, but nothing over the top because I like it's on-road manners and I don't wanna break an axle. So for my project next year I plan on a Schrock Works front bumper with a winch, a 2'5" lift, and slightly bigger tires. I'm assuming I won't have to buy any extra things to stop my axles from binding with such a modest job, no?
