On October 7, I headed to Copper Ridge ATV park in Olean, NY with the Western NY Offroad Club (www.wnyoffroad.com)
We had a great time. A total of 38 Rigs showed up, and we split into 2 groups - each with a trail guide from the park.
I was with group 2, with a total of 18 rigs. And we had a blast. This group wanted to start and end the day by playing in the mud (which I personally enjoy watching but not participating) with trail riding in between.
I think we all had a fun, with no major breakage. The only issues were with a 1974 Jeep CJ with a 400ci big block and 39" swampers. He kept running hot as his 3 electric fans kept cutting out, then his battery was also having issues needing to be jump started whenever the rig was turned off to cool down. He finally had to call it quits when he stalled out on a steep hill climb due to fuel starvation to the 4 barrel carb on the incline.
Here some pictures from the day. It started out foggy and rainy, but by the time we hit the trails it was sunny and very warm.
It was really a great day of wheeling.
