Money for a new one is not going to come for a while. Is it possible to grease the bearings on an alternator. My alt is screaming, but is working just fine. The bearings dried up the last time I washed the engine during the summer.

They are usually a sealed unit. A full rebuild kit should include new bearings. Its going to be hard to force grease into them while they are still assembled into the alternator. Motor oil might actually penetrate better, but keep it away from the slip rings and brushes. This will only be a temporary fix at best.
