Anyone into 3d modelling? It's been <s>years</s> a decade since I did anything in that area but this looks like a well built model.

I used to build models but I never heard of a 3D model. I thought I put a lot of detail in my plastic models but that almost looked like a real Xterra.

Well it's missing the OR badges but other than that it's awesome.

Leather seats????? Are they kidding me? The grill looks chrome as well. Otherwise a very nice rendition.

These sort of 3D models are used for graphics, such as games or animated commercials.

What he pointed out give you the option to purchase the basic liscense to it, but their are companies out there that give you complete liscenses where you can litterally change the actual structure of the model.

I do believe what you are looking at is the 2009 Concept Model they created in 3D. Mostly due to the fact that if you take a 2009 picture and try to make them up, their are slight variations.

Still a nice looking 3D model tho :P

I'm almost positive you can get the lights as an add-on from the dealer without getting the OR... There is a few X's around that have just the lights..

I could be mistaken, but I am pretty sure that the spec sheet had the roof lights as standard on the OR, and not available on the others. It wouldn't be a dealer installed option. Too much stuff involved with the install. I was really surprised by all the equipment that is present up there for the lights. It might be that the X's you are seeing have had the OR emblems on the doors removed. I'm thinking about doing that on mine.

No way! I just keep my eyes open for anything out of the ordinary for our X's. A model that well detailed could really make for some interesting banners, sigs and such.

If I were to take a feature from the OR, it would not be the roof lights.

but there is also no nerf bars and it looks to me like the OR tires, or maybe not lol.....

Its an OR model. The wheels and tires, along with the lights confirm that. They just forgot the badge on the door, probably to make it appear more "vanilla". The designer just popped for the OR "look" that goes with the X's image.
