the way i look at it is if the coolant lines run through the tb then thats what nissan wanted them to be ran.... i really dont know if it will work but there might be a chance that you mess somthing up if you do it.... i might be wrong but id be cautious if you know what i mean

Is an Xterra a MAF or MAP system?

I'd only try that modification in warm weather, and it would only produce results at wide open throttle in my opinion.

I SHOULD ALSO POINT OUT THAT my scangauge says my coolant runs at 195 not 230 in the vg

I seriously doubt that the air hangs around long enough in the TB to heat up at all. I also seriously doubt their claims of 8hp.

$12 bucks isn't a bad price but a trip down to the local parts place for those parts is unlikely to cost more than $5.

I wonder what a frozen TB is worth in the middle of an ice storm?

when ever i find a mod liek this i always think to myself, you get what you pay for. not to mention a gain of 8 hp? uh, so. i second the i bet you dont even notice statement

I tend to leave the engineering to the guys that design the vehicle... just my opinion.

I did this with a vacuum fitting 90 deg and 2 hose clamps, cost $0.00 and have wrapped the cai with header wrap to keep cooler, anything that lowers intake air temp increase power thoughout all rpm range, colder air is denser air and takes more fuel to keep afr correct, hense more hp. I doubt 8hp. But dependes on ambient air temp and how cool it makes tb. Can easily be converted right back for cold weather in 2 minutes or less
