Hey folks,
I've been checking out Xterras for going on 3 years now and finally everything lined up to get one yesterday. I'm now the proud owner of a Red 2010 Xterra. Traded in my 2008 Mitsubishi Evo X. Glad to be here! Hoping to come up to speed quickly.

Welcome in..post up some pix soon
Thanks all. I live in Roanoke Va. A lot of good mountainbiking within 20 minutes to an hour and a half of me so im stoked to have the X. Some good off-roading trail riding parks available too from what I understand. Anything in particular I need to know about the Xterra? Things that go bad quickly? Problems? Things to swap out? Any help appreciated, thanks!

How are you finding the switch from a street legal rally car to the Xterra?
I'm kinda' in the same boat right now... '06 Impreza is on it's way out, and the new '11 Impreza looks pretty BA, but I'm 51/49 (or 49/51 depending what day it is) on the fence about getting an Xterra instead.

The Evo was a fascinating car but overall a complete piece. It had horrible interior rattles, awful clutch life and many more things. The xterra is cool comfortable and a helluva lot cheaper. The Evo was a complete and utter maint. nightmare that could never be caught up with. It, like my ex GF, is great... for someone else. Im stoked to be in the Xterra, happier than I was on the best Evo day.

Welcome to the club. If you plan on doing some wheeling, lose the mud flaps and steprails or risk doing damage to them.

Think you will regret selling the evo sometime in the future?
I was told that i will regret selling my 04 STi when i sold it.
I wonder when ill start feeling it.
I won't regret it one bit. I bought the Evo to have a car comparable to my friends WRx, it was never my style and I never really enjoy it as much as most folks do. I came from a 68 Camaro, so while the Evo handled great, I missed raw, un-aided power and having to "work" in corners. I got the Xterra for ease and being a lot more practical. I'm already 10x happier with it than I was in the Evo on its best day.
