My name is Troy. I live in Ky and will be buying a new car soon. I was thinking about an Xterra. So I am here to learn about them. I am not new to the off-road world. I am normally a Toyota fan but the Xterra has really caught my eye. I was thinking about Factory Ordering an 2008 model and Need to learn more about them. Do they Supercharge them anymore? If not why?

the new ones have more power than the supercharged ones ever had. Its just one more thing to break. But, you can always buy a aftermarket supercharger for the new one if you really want to.
Had my 2006 xterra SE 4x4 about 9 months now (7,600 miles):
-comfortable for sure, huge cabin
-great power, no issues, fast for a truck, but not "fast"
-only issues are one rattling passenger window, and LOT of squeaks from suspension both front and rear
Best feature for ME: the rockford stereo option. This stereo is just as good as lot of aftermarket systems I've had. And the best OEM stereo I've ever had period. I added oem SIRIUS the week I bought it. In fact, the stereo is the main reason I dont want to get rid of it yet.
Do I regret the purchase? no not really. sure sometimes the gas milage bothers me, and I want a sports car. But it does the job and is fun to drive.
